Driver Window Help Please

My driver side window goes 2/3 down then slows way down - I'm afraid to let it go down further because I'm afraid it won't go back up. I have no idea how to proceed. Any response appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Try cleaning the channels with soapy water. Mine were making a screeching sound due to road salt residue, once I washed them good it really helped.

 

take the door card off and lube up the tracks, about a 10 minute jobber.

 

Thanks guys - I'll try the silicone, Youtube is great - no screeching sound but I'll try soapy water too - what's the door card and how do I take it off ? Thanks for responses.

Has your door check been broken and replaced? If so, it's easy for the broken door check to ram into the forward window track when you close the door. If that's what happened, you'll either need to replace the window track or remove it and straighten it.

 

Thanks for the suggestion however fortunately my door check no been broken and replaced.

 

Update - Beautiful sunny 70F day in North Jersey - thanks for the videos - took the door panel off and found a little kink in the track on the front of the window - straightened it out a little and spread it a little - all is good. Thanks again. Nothing to do with this thread but did front brake pads too.
