43BB29D5-DD33-46E8-80AA-2FFF76A6A6DE.jpg Recently lifted my truck. 2” front 1.5 rear. Had it aligned but am not confident in numbers. Shop said was all green and to factory spec. However since it’s lifted should it be to factory? This is all beyond my knowledge. Anyone know if this is ok??

I’m curious about this too. I’ll be doing 2/1 this weekend followed by an alignment.

I went to the only alignment shop within 2.5 hrs and was just hoping he knew what he was doing. Again. I have know idea. Hoping someone will chime in who knows what these numbers mean.

Factory numbers will not work when you're lifted. How does your truck drive after the alignment? I would keep an eye on your front tires for early signs of wear.

This is what I thought. I would like to know what the proper numbers would be after a 2” lift. The truck tracks well and doesn’t pull to one side or the other as far as I can tell. However the roads around here are pretty awful and hard to tell. I have however taken a pretty significant hit in MPG. I know that a lift will reduce that but wouldn’t think that a mild lift would create a 4 mpg or so hit.

Do you have aftermarket UCA? Bigger heavier tires will cause for mpg shift. I wouldn't too much about it if all is well. People go for higher caster, 0 toe and 0 camber so they wouldn't run the cab mount.

No aftermarket uca. I have 265/75/16 wildpeaks P rated. Getting 17-19 mpg before lift. Now have a hard time getting 15-17. Maybe it’s bad winter gas.

I'm on 285/70/17 Cooper MT and getting 19-20mpg.

As far as your stock components go you're limited to only so much adjustment. I think you'll be fine and your alignment guy did you good.

I doubt a lift will cause a decrease in mpg. But I could be wrong. I did a lift and tires and I did not take a hit.

Factory would be fine for your truck. You want it in the middle of the specified values; not just "in the green"

    That said...
    Caster is low.
    Cross camber is high
    Toe-in is high.

Hmm. I wonder what could be causing such a hit? I baby the throttle just to achieve 17 if I’m lucky.

Sounds like someone needs a math lesson, larger diameter tires will throw off your mpg and read higher mpg and lower mph.
Also the same size but heavier tires will also lower mpg and power, but you went to a slightly larger tire.

Funny how people seem to act when they aren’t looking you in the eye. No math lesson needed. If you read my post you would see that the mpg hit came after my lift. I have had these tires for over a Year. I appreciate the help and info but don’t need the insults from a forum that exists to provide information.

I think it could be better but it depends on how much room you have left to adjust. Optimally, you want around 3-3.5 degrees caster, 0.0 degrees camber and toe at 0.00 or 0.05 degrees. With your current numbers you might experience some tire wear or uneven road tracking.

I think you would get your money's worth from a set of UCA's. Getting new UCA's will allow you to increase caster. In my experience it makes a difference. You could also get your camber closer to 0.0 degrees, which should give you a little better tire wear = $$$. It doesn't seem like much but my truck was very different when I got it set to those numbers and my alignment was already better than yours.

Thanks for the info. I am wondering if the man who did my alignment just didn’t bother trying to get it that well aligned. I also didn’t feel very confident with his knowledge as when I told him about possibly getting new uca’s he said “ no way. You could go three more inches easily”. Of course I know this was not true and made me walk out feeling less confident in his knowledge of alignment. I will def. look into uca’s. I almost purchased them but read a lot of people being ok with 2” lifts and oem uca’s.

While some people are ok, you might not be. Can you get under the car and take pictures of your LCA cam bolts for me? Make sure to clearly label where each picture is from and I can attempt to tell you if there is any more caster or camber to be had.

Even if you can squeeze a little more caster out of them, you will probably sacrifice camber which is not worth it IMO. Get the UCA's and look here for general setting to ball park it. Im at about 2" of lift as well so if you get SPC's then hit me up and I'll shoot you pictures of my setup.
