Just a quick check with the rest of you guys to see how your dealer is handling your two years worth of free oil changes? I was told it was for two years. Had my second oil change yesterday at 19,000 miles. Service tech said that's my last oil change because it's 20,000 miles or two years. Have had my truck for not quite a year yet. Funny how they change the wording on this after the fact. Just wanted to see if my dealer is different or the same as everyone else

That’s correct just like your warranty, whatever comes first.

If you like the Toyotacare service plan you can extend it, for a few hundred bucks.

Thanks for the replies. I was just a little surprised at the statement during my last oil change and wanted to confirm it with what everybody else was getting. Their normal oil change price is about $50 for synthetic oil which is more than fair so that's not an issue.

He is right, its miles or time, whichever comes first. Toyota care is actually 24 months or 25,000 miles, but either way 20k miles would be the last oil change, 25k would just be a general check up.
They didn't change the wording, its all over the website and the pamphlet you should have got.

The dealer I bought mine from has lifetime oil changes even after the factory service runs out but there are caveats to that. I have to pay for any other services they do and it has to be maintenanced at Toyota.

Exactly. Just like this engine for life bs warranty at some dealers. You have to do every, and I mean every service recommended by Toyota by the dealer. If you miss a tire rotation I was told by the dealer, no more engine for life warranty. I asked what does a tire rotation have to do with engine warranty ? All those services add up to big extra $$$. It's not what you think it is at first. You probably paid for a new engine.

Mine told me 8 oil changes when i signed the paper work. Then went back on their word and said 8 services, and oil is every second service.
In the end they honoured the 8 oil changes

How did they get 8 oil changes in 25k instead of 2?

1 oil change a year for me on my 2 year Toyota Care. Be lucky to have 4,000 miles on my truck in a year.
