I hated how my fresh dry cleaning never stayed on the hooks and fell to the ground on the drive home. The solution I came up with was to make larger hooks using a 3D printer.

These work in my 2010 Tacoma access cab but will likely work with more models as long as the original hook is the same. They are made out of high strength plastic and took about 3-4 hours to design in CAD and about 3-4 iterations of prototypes (~20 hours of printing trials) to get to this point.

The texture along the face where the part was meeting the print bed will be different than the rest of the part, just something to be aware of and something hopefully you can live with. You can sand, prime, and paint (use primer/paint that's compatible with "PETG" plastic).

$50 per pair plus shipping for black or grey (see pictures in this thread). Located in Southern California.

    Thanks!

Thanks! Running another batch to smooth out the texture. Will post updated photos when those are done.

I picked up a nicer 3D printer and its up and running printing out these "beefy" coat hangers now. It takes about 9 hrs to print each pair (not counting all the design & prototyping time spanning weeks).

Please let me know color preference (grey or black). It comes with instructions as well.

Happy to take suggestions on other parts to design/model and 3D print as well. I was going to print bed rail mounts for a shovel and fire extinguisher. Been running out of time but also on the list is a windshield dash cam mount (instead of Velcro tape like i have it now).

Just shipped out a few orders today. I'm making more to have ready to go but will likely switch to another part to prototye and print. Let me know if you'd like a pair!

Got mine today and installed them. They look nicer in person than in the pictures. They are much stouter than the stock hooks. One of mine was broken so these were a nice upgrade!

Hi, first time user. I like what you have. I have a 2019 Tacoma TRD. The current garment hook is over the rear sliding windows, which make it difficult, even dangerous since I can't get a full view through the sliding windows. Over the rear side windows is a solid piece of plastic abut 1" square, similar to the base of the two garment hooks. Can those pieces of plastic be removed and replaced with your hook? Is anyone else having same issue?
    Thank you

Going to start a new batch of these. PM me if you'd like to be added to the order list. Will take about 1.5-2 weeks before they ship.

I added a gear loft to the AC which solved this issue. Well done on this solution.

Received mine and installed them today and am very pleased. These are a huge improvement over the factory hangers.

    Thanks Roger!
