Naw, it's just supply & demand. If it Floods lots of good grazin' land disappears for the Season drivin' the Price Up. I've had absolutely No Problem findin' Great Quality Meats here in Manitoba. Just Spoiled as we're used to Lower Prices.

Im guessing you're reffering to the brain tacos? If you can get past the "woah, thats brains" thought you will not regret it. Its kinda like eating marrow, but creamier.

That's the one. I don't have the cold temperature issue like you do. It was plenty windy and it kept going for the 20 hours or so to cook the butt. I should have bumped it up sooner but that's my own fault. I was in no hurry. I like that it has so much room. You can put a ton of racks of ribs in it without having to cut them in half like the electric on I had. It has two probes which was nice in the large butt. It came with a cover that has a zipper. That makes it easy to take on and off. The hopper can hold 60 Lbs of pellets so you can run it for 35 hours with out refilling it if necessary.

It took about an hour to put it together and adjust the door latches so it wouldn't leak any smoke. I think that is the step most people don't take the time to do. It has a fan on the bottom that make a constant whir. It's not loud but noticeable. You can also hear the auger if you are standing right there. After just one cook I love it. I also read some stories about how they take time to get just right but for me it was easy. Maybe because I have used other smokers before.

I pulled the pork and added a red BBQ sauce from a local BBQ joint. It's even better now.
