    I have a 2013 Tacoma, TRD, Crew Cab. And it’s only 2WD why would Toyota not make it 4WD?

    I'm going to go out on a limb here, but... It may be that there is a few thousand dollar difference between the two, and most people do not need, or want 4wd. Just some food for thought. If you want a 4wd, it's quite easy to buy one in the first place.

    Because people like the original owner and you will buy them anyway. Not everyone needs a 4wd truck and they sell plenty of them.

    Believe it or not, some people dont have a use for it, and it's a lot cheaper off the bat. Not to mention it's a bit lighter and theres less parts to break. For people like me though, 2wd sounds fine until they get on this website, now I'm looking into 4wd conversions.

    Not everyone needs 4wd which is why every automaker makes 2wd and 4x4 versions of almost every truck and SUV in their lineup.

    If you didn't realize it when you purchased it, I'm betting it was because 4wd wasn't something on your radar because it isn't something you require. Spending a lot of time on here will make you think otherwise though, been there done that got the t-shirt (and the truck)
