Hi Everyone. Last August I leased my first Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport. It is an awesome truck compared to the 2002 Ford Ranger I was driving. Before I leased my Tacoma, I was looking into the Rangers, but I just didn't care for the body style compared to the Tacoma. I love the hood scoop.

However, I am experiencing some issues with my Blind Spot Monitoring System. I made a trip to Columbus this past weekend and noticed the orange light on that comes on when ever another vehicle enters my blind spot would not come on either mirror. I recently installed the Amber Reflector Delete on both of my side markers. Do you think this would cause an issue? I could not find any previous threads that were specific to my issue escpecially for a 2018. If anyone has trouble shooting advice, please let me know.

    Thanks.
    Andy

Is it hard to undo that mod? That would be the best way to test it.

    Welcome to TW.
Any electrical mod can affect another system in this truck. However the have been several issues with BSM and tss systems especially.

    Hi,
It's essentially a piece of tinted clear film that goes over the amber reflector of the headlight. I probably wouldn't be able to re-apply it once removed.

If its just a sticker / film then you are ok. I dont think those markers have anything to do with BSM. Those sensors are big and are located in the rear plastic bumper.

Yeah, that shouldn’t mess with anything.
