Is there anyone here that is familiar with working on VWs? I've got a 2009 Sportwagen and this morning I had the ABS and ESC lights come on, with the brake light flashing. The car as been perfect for the past 25k miles.

I have VCDS and did a scan. It showed "01130 - ABS Operation 008 - Implausible Signal ". I have other minor codes, but I know one of them is related to bad coding I had done when swapping in a different steering wheel that I never bothered to fix. I thought I saved the auto-scan results, but for some reason the file doesn't have anything but the summary.

From what I can find, it sounds like my ABS pump and/or controller is on its way out. I've reset the error and will see if it comes back. If there is anyone that can assist in further troubleshooting/diagnosis I would appreciate the help.

May be an ABS module as well. I've owned two German cars that have had the exact issue.

Yeah, that's the module i'm talking about. Seems that there were many problems, even a recall, on several 2009 vehicles. The pump seems to work fine, I did some tests in VCDS. I'm going to go for a test drive today when I get home from work and see if the fault comes back. I'm not looking forward to taking the ABS pump out to send the module out for repair.
