12 miles away from our 280-mile destination and my kiddo puked from the rear seat. It sprayed all across the rear door, on back of passenger seat, on the rear seat, rear floorboard, under the passenger seat, into the air duct (under the seat), into the rear door speaker opening, into the door storage compartment, and onto the front and rear seatbelts. It seeped under the plastics covering passenger seat posts, B-pillar, and both front and rear kick panels.

I sprayed, shop-vac'ed, sprayed with enzyme cleaner, wiped down interior A, B, and C post panels, removed what plastics I could and sprayed them off. I tossed their shoes, and car seat, and went to Target for replacements. It was that bad. While cleaning out the truck in my yard, it smelled so bad two buzzards actually landed 50' away and watched.

I rode to work with a coworker this AM and left the truck with windows cracked to air out today, but I'm not expecting much. I'm considering taking to a local cleaner to pay but it will most likely be at least $250 to have professionally cleaned.

take your front seat out, cubbies under rear car seat, remove the plastic trim pieces and go ham cleaning again. There's gotta be some vomit soup lingering in there. I feel for you man. happen to me but with a rental. since I got weather techs and seat covers (one piece that covers the entire rear seat).
    good luck man.

I almost jumped on the Weathertech group buy a few weeks ago. Kicking myself now. Also, I'll jump on seat covers asap.

A few additions to make me feel cool.
I had this happen once. Let's just say, time, all that will fix it is cleaning and time.

Might help to contact a Restoration Co. You know, the ones that Specialize in Smoke & water damage. Those ozonator units just Rock for Smoke damage. They may steer You towards Chemical or Cleaner recommendations for this sorta thing. Just a thought. :help:

I really want to spare you. I took one pic of my partially dismantled taco, kid's clothes, and my driveway (which I had to hose off afterward), but I'll spare you the details.

Another thing is maybe go to the Movie theater, ask for the Manager & see what they use after Saturday Matinee. I've seen these small packets that they spread & vacuum up.

    none....yet
The ozone machines work really well, but you're looking at $300+ for one of those. If you lived close by I'd let you use mine. Make sure you take out the cabin air filter and clean that, or when you run the ozone machine turn on the AC and have the recirculated option for air on.

A cheap method I discovered thru an old friend to get rid of overwhelming smells. Place a few open containers of coffee grounds in the truck throughout the night. That seems to trap the oder and give a tolerable aroma. I had a small oven fire that made the whole house stink. Coffee grounds did the trick in a few days. Good luck
