I’ve found that an open can of Red Bull has a similar effect, in that it overpowers everything else.

I feel for you. I've had a hard enough time just trying to clean trace amounts of puppy puke from my back seats, and thats with leather interior, all weather floor mats, and one of those "waterproof" (it's not) backseat hammock covers for him to sit in. The liquid soaks into the stitching of the seats so I had to use enzyme cleaner and a toothbrush to get most of it out. I got so fed up with it I bought a cap so I can stick him in the bed where he can puke as much he wants.

I had also originally bought these to toss in my gym bag to keep from stinking up my truck while I'm at work all day and they actually work pretty well.

    https://www.amazon.com/Jalousie-Cha...3&s=gateway&sprefix=charcoal+,aps,140&sr=8-57

After each of his puking episodes I throw a bunch of them in the back seat for a few days and it does help to neutralize the odor a bit. Might be worth a shot for you, but it sounds like your truck has been pretty heavily "infected" so I imagine the smell would come back once you take them out.

Our dog got into Halloween candy years ago. I came home and found 12 Hershey mini bar wrappers on the floor. I gave the dog Syrup of Ipecac to induce vomiting but since chocolate is poisonous for dogs we went to animal emergency to be safe. On the way, the dog puked between the front seat and transmission tunnel. This was a new Jeep Cherokee. The only way to get the smell out was to remove the seats and carpets for cleaning and clean any crevice, surface, and fabric that was hit with Lysol or something like that. Test it on your fabrics first though because you will need to soak it thoroughly. I also have a small green machine cleaner that helps too. Run to Walmart and get one or rent a similar thing. Those "miracle" enzyme cleaners just can't break down a hidden reservoir of vomit. We had five Schnauzers at once and two kids so I speak from experience. If you don't get the sources completely clean you will have a constant foul smell that gets worse in heat and humidity. Once you get it ALL clean try Ozium air freshener for the final step. Anything less is a waste of time I'm sorry to say.

I would just bite the bullet and pay big money for a nice, deep thorough cleaning.

I'm sure there's places that specialize in that kind of cleaning because of all the drunk Uber passengers who've had one too many and yak everywhere

I would ask if they want cash, check, and if they take American Express. There is no way in hell im going to smell that mess let alone clean it up. Good luck OP, you have seen how much time and effort it takes so a few hundred buck isn’t so bad after all.

I wonder how the "steam cleaner" is going to get into all of those nooks and crannies that the O/P missed. Is it really steam or an extractor type machine like a carpet cleaner? Steam is too hot for plastics I would think. Maybe I'm wrong.

Pay to get it cleaned. If they are going to steam and extract it will be well worth it. Sounds like the kiddo had a huge exorcism.
