I think mine was 112. That was for my ford tho. and we switched those plates to our new honda, wont know til 2021 on the tacoma.

 

I’m shocked I always thought Arizona had cheaper registration.

Not at all, vehicle registration is quite cheap in many states. The problem is, one state will get a hair brain idea to tax the living $hit out of someone and then the neighboring state legislators go "oh, well, state X next door does it this way...."

North Carolina charges property taxes on vehicles, gas taxes, and sales tax, you have to love the states who use multiple funding sources and then claim poor every year that need more funding for roads. Whats even more insane is NC charges property tax on LEASED VEHICLES. LEASED. It's not your's.

 

Yeah its 20 bucks a year but you pay out the ass when you first buy a vehicle. What is it, a 7% tax on fair market value or something like that? You leave the dealership with a couple extra thousand in taxes just for the ad valorem. Either way the government is going to bend you over.

Exactly if the govt. jacks up the taxes on your landlord, you're going to get some too.

 

Oregon is amazing for so many reasons, but I'd imagine property taxes are insane out there.

 

Man I thought Kentucky was high. $485 for my 18 F150.

 

$4.50 for me in Florida. It would be more for John Q. Citizen but I get a break for military service.

 

2017 OR - $365.99 in KY, +$2 if I do everything via mail.

In Utah we get hit with 6.85% sales tax at purchase plus license and registration (and the dealer gets $500 for filling out a 1 page form and putting a stamp on an envelope). Then every year we renew based on vehicle age.

Holy f@#k!! Your state can burn in hell! I pay right around $75 for mine in Texas, which is not bad. But they get you on the sales tax when purchasing the vehicle..6.25% which came out in the neighborhood of $2500!

 

Just a shout out to anyone living in California that might be thinking about moving to Oregon....DONT! It's already been californicated enough. EVERYTHING here is going up thanks to half of California moving up here. I guess California ain't so great anymore.

Probably doesn't.... gets a couple dealer plates and moves it from vehicle to vehicle that he's taking out. (or just plainly throws in the back seat).
