I picked up a set of mud flaps before our Arkansas snow goose trip for this exact reason. No rock chips that i could see, even though i could still hear a few hitting the back doors :frusty:

Mine looks very similar - the textured fender flares look a different color at the bottom because of all the chips.

I feel at this point it's just the nature of the beast, I'm sure if you walk by any Taco on the street you'll see rock chips in some shape or form.

I also have a new 2019 that just experienced the same thing. :facepalm:Haven't washed my truck yet and I'm afraid to. At least I know I'm not alone.

Never happens to me. Malls here don’t have rocks to kick up.

    Ugh. Gotta fix this.

That is one reason I will never go back to KO2s. I swear, gravel roads must be bare after you drive by with those on. I also thought they rode rough for the load rating, got loud as they aged, and were terrible in mud. Now, they were a tough tire, looked good, and did ok on snow and ice, but I have ST MAXXs now and will buy them again (unless they finally make the PROs in 255/85r16). They don't pick up rocks much at all and they have been great in all conditions so far.

Rock sliders make a good rock deflector as well. But that's just love taps of a good time!
