Hey TW, selling my bike. need to pay for medical bills... its listed on pinkbike as well but figure why not here. im SLC, UT based willing to drive. can ship if thats really whats gotta go down. hope someone needs a sick nomad out there!


This bike is pretty darn clean and has been well maintained. It saw about a little over half a season of a lot of enduro type riding. split time between air and coil. only cosmetic thing going on is minor scratches on the fork (none on stanchions) and near the rear derailleur. other than that the bike was wrapped since day 1 in AMS tape as well as clear frame tape. "custom" white letters. comes with new wheelset as well as new rubber up front.$4,400

That's a sweet piece, I'm bummed you have to let it go. I don't need a bike that caliber, but I hope someone does!

it does do most everything quite well. most desert riding i feel it is overkill, unless ya know you are getting all "rampaged" out.

nah i have insurance. just doesnt help when you still live paycheck to paycheck and have expensive taste in the bike world haha.

 

Haha yeah man that'll do it. I was riding with a guy last week and he had a gnarly OTB. Shattered his collarbone and no insurance. I'm not sure what he's going to do

 

True, but I imagine it is a murder machine at Deer Valley and the like. It does behave well for as big of a bike as it is. I was impressed when I rode one last season.

 

Things like this is one of the main reasons I could never quit my job and do the whole nomad van life thing despite how much I think about it in my head. One good slip on a bike, and goodbye everything.

 

you sir are correct it does destroy bike park as well. i had the old nomad for 2 or 3 years and loved that but it didnt climb half as good as the new model!

 

that is a huge bummer, hopefully they pull some strings and help that guy out...

 

Same. I encouraged the guy to go to the hospital and barter with cash. Alternatively just wait until the collections company comes knocking and negotiate from there
Or just eat the credit loss the hope you never have to finance anything again lol

 

The "cash" price is definitely much better than the "on insurance" price. They bill insurance a gross amount because they know they will pay it, but there seems to be a lot of wiggle room with "cash in hand, uninsured"
