Made chicken tunnels around garden to allow them in to certain pens

 

Now planted the pen I moved them out of
4 rows okra 4 rows bush cucumbers 2 rows squash 2 rows of banana peppers and 4 rows of beans.
Other side has 4 rows of basil and 5 rows of tomatoes

 

One bed amended and tilled and planted with spinach. One more to go. I'm attaching a pic of my tomato cages made from rolled 16 gauge fencing. It works well but my tomato's still have sucked the last three years.

The hard part today was turning the soil and finding huge earthworms and having to decide whether to blow it all off and go fishing.

 

what kind of green house you running?

 

That the barn no green house .....yet has bee stuff and a camper. Pigs next season

Holy cow what are all those green things on the trees?
I haven’t seen anything like that in 5 months lol

only good news is the snow is melting

 

Yea, here to. Now we have snow and MUD.

 

Finally getting a break from the rain and want to get started on the garden. So I pulled the tiller out of the shed and put in fresh gas...won't start . Checked the plug and hit it with some starter fluid, starts then dies . Figured OK, I'll pull out the power washer and blast the patio...won't start . Went and got a six pack and will address these things tomorrow.

 

Plot twist...the bottle opener breaks.

 

For the tiller, I've found that one of

$21 GOLDENROD (625) Pistol Pump Oiler with Straight Spout - 10 oz. Capacity

these with some gas in it instead of oil works much better than starting fluid for getting a small engine running again in the spring. Just squeeze a couple shots into the carb, enough to fill the float bowl, and it'll almost always run long enough to pull fuel through the line again.

 

Cans, FTW. Incidentally, just went outside and gave the power washer a try, just for fun...started first pull. Hopefully the tiller will be as cooperative.

 

check the bowl, the jet might be clogged.

 

Got to love ethanol laced gas.

Not just the small engines, either. The '69 doesn't like it much; even with stabilizer in the fall it doesn't run right in the spring until you put a full tank or so through it.
