$72 pro grille

Dumb question from a new Tacoma owner but I bought a used 2017 Limited with 27k miles in immaculate condition a couple of months ago. I did the Pro grill replacement and looks great but there was no TSS module anywhere in the grill. Is TSS optional or is mine missing? Thanks.

 

I have a 2017 TRD OFF ROAD, I do not have the TSS more on mine. Think this started on 2018 models.

Anyone know if theres a place to order just the pro grill letters from?

I got an ebay grill and the quality and fitment are great but the letters are all painted a slightly different tone of silver. I didnt notice this until months after install when I starting taking a closer look at other grills.

I have seen the decals you can place on top but would rather something painted. Looked online to know avail.

Bought mine from “ mannerfro” on eBay then the listing was removed by eBay ??? but showed shipped....I called ebay she said since item was already shipped I had to wait to see if it arrived first...item came today grille has 1 broken tab top right and the letters are not one piece ...I ordered from mannerfro because it showed the letters 1 piece and I did not want individual letters to stick on...I filed for a return/refund now I have to wait till he responds by the 21st then eBay will step in...ugh...

 

Do you remember who the seller was and did the letters come as 1 piece or individual letters you stick on

 

I waited two years to find a grill I liked better than a pro style grill . I gave in about a year ago. Should have just bought the knock off sooner.

 

This is the link. Pretty sure it came as individual letters that I had to snap in. Then I bought red decals for the letters that came out pretty good also.

Purchased a replica from Ebay and its hit or miss I have read. My replica was good and had nice quality and fitment.

 

Like has been said it's hit or miss on the knockoffs but this one was pretty good fit and looks wise.

 

Dickhead seller sent the wrong grille based off his description. Letters are janky. His account looks to be suspended now. Me and one other had issues with him and his product. Avoid!

Are the letter stick on??

 

Yes. It was described as the center piece having a single insert with letters installed and you screw that into the back of the grille. Individual letters on this one.

 

Mine I be leave came from Ebay seller named mallofusacandle. It had the screw on letters, it was a pretty good looking grill.

 

Haven't installed it yet but I just got mine from www.thetacomagarage.com It came as one piece. It's a bit pricier than most Ebay ones but cheaper than OEM. My understanding is they go through the ones they order but only ship out the ones with no defects. Well worth it for $140 and don't have to take a 50-50 chance with a random seller on Ebay

 

I got mine today. Came with the separate center section for the letters & the 2017 insert. Also the posts on the cover insert has different style push star nuts. Pretty happy with the quality. Guess I got lucky.

Looks great. Good luck with the install, just take your time and use needle nose pliers to push out the tabs on the OEM grill. I did not break any tabs removing mine.

 

Bought mine last week from MadHornets.com, I am very happy with the grille and fit. The center toyota piece actually screws in place so you dont have to individually place each letter. $100 well spent IMO. Pics of the grille and the letter attachment.

 

Looks almost like the one I got, I like the full screw in center piece
