    Thanks, I think for the cost perspective I'm going to try the duro bumps from and rear, just weld the plate to the ubolt flip and get rid of the wheelers super bumps for now. I need to flex it to measure the length bumpstop I need to get for the back.

    So I ordered some new gas tank straps, my old ones were a little rusty and one had broken both studs off on the back. For the time to remove old one and clean it up, drill it out, and paint it, for $20 it was easier to just get new powdercoated strap. Rockauto had them for the cheapest (part number is LILAND GLOBAL IST323), we will see how the quality is once it gets here.

    Hopefully it gets here this week and I can have the gas tank skid back on, then order some bumpstops next week, get an inspection (2 months overdue expired) and get this thing back to drivable state like it used to be a few years ago. :oops:

    It also needs an oil change think it's only moved about 300 miles over the last year so the old oil probably mucked up like molasses from sleeping in the pan.

    Yeah I think the metal skid plate trapped moisture in there between the skid and strap and it rusted it. Was hard to tell if it was rusted bad enough to affect the structural integrity but it was cheap insurance to just get new ones.
