Last Sept. I had the dash cluster changed under warranty for trip re-setting on it's own... I'm off warranty now.

Looks like it is doing it again. Have to check closer to confirm.

Toyota warranties parts that they install after warranty, for 12 months... (I think)

If that is true, I'm wondering if I can get them to install another cluster......on THEIR dime...??

I'm going to confirm the unit is faulty and go and ask them..!! Will let ya know how it goes.

I'm interested hear how this turns out. I've never heard someone say it started happening again. I had mine fixed like 2 years ago.

The part they installed should have a new warranty. You will have to pay labor more than likely.

Let us know... different dealers may have different warranties. Based on when the component fails, my dealership’s warranty for replacement parts that were R&R under 36/36000 extend to the 36/36000, or for one year / 12000 miles after install, whichever is longer. So if the part was replaced at the one year point, it’s warranted until you hit the 36/36000. Likewise, if the part fails again at the 35 month point, the new warranty is for 12/12000 from the R&R date.

Oh yeah, I was not thinking of labour cost. They might want me to pay....

I will check with them next time I'm in town.

    Thanx...
