Would i be wrong to lift? Would i be affecting the mileage? Engineers made this truck this height for a reason no? (Aero dynamics)

    I have 2003 tacoma base model 4 cylinder 2.4 engine 2WD.

If answer is no, how do i go about knowing my max tire size? Ive seen a 3" lift is appropriate. Maybe no lift required and just tires?

Do i just need coils to do a lift or more parts needed?

I like our trucks with just slightly bigger tires. Not lift fan.

I see truck when bought came with smaller tire size. Maybe once I put correct size it should be the height im looking for.

I would only lift a 4x4... but than again do what you want. It is your truck.

You cant really go any larger on stock 5lug suspension, maybe a 1” max over all.

Anything over a slightly bigger tire size (1'' or so) will start to noticeably affect your mileage. Your truck will have to work much harder to accelerate with a larger tire, which can affect driveability. Lifting can also drastically affect the way your truck handles.

Not to be a downer, but these are things you need to consider before modifying any truck, especially if it's a daily driver. For lots of people it's still worth it to do these mods because of how they plan on using the vehicle.
