I had the Taurus Poly Protector in 357 mag and that was not comfortable to shoot by any stretch of the imagination. It was also rated for the +p 38 special..

I dont recommend.. Plus with that one inch barrel I couldnt hit a damn thing with it and im not a bad shot (certainly not great either)

Took the 6.5 grendel to 560yrds this weekend with Wolf steel case 100gr. Wasnt to bad on a 1/3rd size torso.

Also my Tikka CTR in 6.5Creed came in so time to get it together. Got a bit of the break in already done. Scope on the way is a Athlon Ares BTR 4.5-27. There on sale for $600 for the rest of march from most guys.

I shoot alot of 38 too. For practice I buy anything as long as it's not aluminum. I've shot my sw mod 66 with aluminum shells and had I guess? the ones I already shot swelled up and popped out of the cylinder did that with them twice. I'm not sure what happened except that the cylinder locked up with it still loaded and I had to pry the shells back into the cylinder with my pocket knife. Never happened with brass

Come on it can’t be that bad. My buddies Buffalo Arms derringer we’ve shot with .38 special and .357 mag. It stings a little, just because it’s solid steel basically, but you just gotta be a man

That derringer is 6oz heavier than the LCR, or in other terms, 50% heavier. I could see the LCR being a mule of a gun.

Up to 6 more oz. not sure what the weight differences is but it’s showing between 13.5-17.1 assuming that’s empty. Fully loaded they would weigh about the same the LCR possibly more. You’re going to get a lot less shock through a polymer frame than you will solid steel. Plus with a revolver I would assume your losing more gas out of the side of revolver than you would in the derringer. I’ll have to see if I can get my hands on one but I’ll gaurentee the derringer stings a lot more than the LCR ever would

Well building a .308 AR. Got a nice CMMG hand-guard for free but it’s to short just over an inch. So my initial though was to put on a gas block with a rail and a fold down front sight like a MK12 that would cover the gas tube from damage. Anyone have experience/or can measure the tube on a similar rifle it’s hard to tell from photos if mine would end up being comically exposed. Hesitant to buy anew hand guard as that will run $200.

Knowing you pulled (or yanked) a shot is good - you are aware of your sight picture as the trigger breaks. You know how to fix that problem (as verified by your other shots.) Don't be mad about them, just learn from them.

    All part of the process.
