Wanted to give a quick review of the OG Fabrications overhead MOLLE panel for the 3rd gens...
Hector does this as a side job so don't expect it quick. It took about 3 weeks to get it in. But he's very honest and upfront about everything.
Overall, it's well built and seems to be very rigid. The design could use a little tweaking on the metal matching the curves in the roof, but the fit is good..you have to do a little bending on the wings on the end and sides, as well as the mounting tabs but it's pretty simple. Just bend and test fit ..
I did install paracord grab handles as well .
I've two two kiddos in the back in booster seats and as long as my bigger molle bags are in the middle they still have plenty of head room.
Overall, I'm pretty happy with the panel. It should serve its function well. I plan on mounting my take down AR on the panel so we'll test the strength there... Not bad for $200..

Looks good! Be careful of those exposed threads poking out...Head puncture waiting to happen.
How did you anchor the bolts into the non threaded roof holes?

Yeah no doubt ... I'm going to get some rubber bolt boots for them... He sent hardware. The bolts are anchor bolts that go into the holes and turn to lock in. . Worked pretty good

I'd stab my head on that for sure.
I put mine in the back.

Where'd you get those at? I want to get some for the back as well I needed the one in the back seat for storage as well... May even put a takedown AR up there

In all fairness, I think mounting any rack across the interior roof of the truck is dangerous. If there's any side collision where the body flexes, the rack and everything on it can be a projectile.

This is true. But getting in/out of the truck is MUCH more frequent than a side collision. Also, you have full control of addressing the bolt issue. You don’t in an accident.

It’s all good, After all it’s your truck so you would know better. I’m just saying from personal experience hitting my head in the same spot so I had to tweak my brackets to bend inward.

I do plan to cover the bolt threads... I'd hate for the kids to cut their noggins...

True. There are tons of better ways to mount that. For what it's worth, if I were ever to put a rack in my truck like that I would have a cable on each side to act as a leash to stop the rack from flying around in an accident. A small thing cable going from the rack to the roof would catch the rack in the event a mount tab broke off in an accident.

It does crack me up when I see pics of people mounting large heavy objects to it. There was a guy that posted a pic of his axe there... I think he was trying to get a Darwin award.

Yeah an axe inside the cab is what I would call, slightly dangerous . Lol... My purpose is for binos, medkit, flashlight, and admin pouch . Just a few small things
