Just got this same deflector at Pep Boys today. Installed in minutes and looks great. I have the same Blazing Blue Pearl in the double cab long bed. Nice choice.

I really think you will find the AVS to work well. So have you put on the gas hood struts yet?

Which one are you referring to? The Bug Deflector II or another. No nothing about the gas strut assist.

I was looking at the redline struts. Is that what you bought? The Elite? or some such thing from Redline I believe?

I also had no issue with the Bugflector 2. I put the clear bumper stops on just in case the sides that flare out hit the hood during higher speeds. Prolly don't need them there though. It also looks good on white.

Installed the QuickLiftPlus. Works great. Previously I installed them on my Mustang, and Jeep Wrangler. Work great! Install requires drilling, do measure 3 times, for each bracket before drilling once!

I second this. Looks way better than a deflector and does a better job protecting against rocks. On my last vehicle a rock went through a fog light, another smashed the hood deflector almost in half. On my current vehicle the 3M bra has kept it pristine. And I *know* rocks have been hurled at it.

    None yet
Cushioned tape touches the hood top not the plastic, guaranteed to be removable and not damage paint.

I’m liking the sound of the AVS bugdeflector 2 but just to go back to the Weather Tech for a second, it looks super low, does it have any problems with touching/or rubbing the paint.

After 2 years the AVS BugDecftor is still prestine! Had gotten the job done with no issues.
