“Pro” grills are on every Tacoma I see in SoCal..

This one is made by Rad...it was on the truck when I purchased it this past January. Aluminum, not plastic.

I installed the pro grill when I purchased my 2017 OR. I didn’t like the chrome OR grill. Had the 2017 OR had the current black grill, I probably would’ve kept it.

 

They advertise on TW....there is a thread that highlights their skid plates. Also there is radpartsstore.com.

 

Only thing I don't like about the pro grille is that it protrudes out a couple of inches. Gives the appearance of a longer nose when looking at it from the side.

 

The pro grill is definitely an upgrade from the stock cheese grater. I don’t like the way the pro protrudes forward on an already nose heavy truck. I also like to be a little different. X-Trek for me.

 

You should light up the Tacoma part. That would look sick...

 

Once you put some offer crap on the front the pro grill doesn’t look so bad

 

Shots like this make me wonder why the hell Toyota thought it necessary to do a chrome surround on the off-road at all. Had mine looked like this I woudn't have bothered with the Pro grille.

 

If the only way to get a Pro grille was to purchase the OEM at it’s full retail price I bet you’d see far fewer.

 

I’m one of the few that like my factory cheese grater. Ordering the black surround soon though lol

I think it looks great too. I'm gonna keep it the way you see it. I bought a pro grill from Fresh Mexican Taco here, but sold it the day I got it. The cheese grater grill is very well-built. The pro grill felt kinda flimsy to me when I took it out of the box. I didn't want to put anything knock off on my brand new truck, so I sold it!

 

Your truck looks great. I'm waiting to see an OR grill on a Pro. That's what I thought you did at first.

The black surround really kicks off the factory offroad grill! That's why I bought mine, after seeing a few members black their surround out! Nice truck btw...
