Almost called #RandyRescue last night but figured it is anticlimactic when it is a Honda on pavement.

Anyone know any wheel repair places? Hoping the wheel can be refurbished and I won’t have to buy a new one. Blew both tires in the right side when I dropped off the pavement cutting in too tight on a curve. Lesson learned. Should have taken the Taco.

Friend just used a wheel repair place. Just asked him the name. I'll get back in a minute or two.

Yup. There were some choice words said and tools sprouting wings when it happened. It's what I get when trying to do five things at once.

I just had a couple wheels repaired by Alloy Wheel Solutions in Chantilly. They did a great job.

Subie motor tried to commit suicide today.

I drove the WRX to the grocery store, and the low oil light came on when I started the car to leave. I checked the dipstick, and it didn't even register.

The Dollar General had 5w30 synthetic oil, which I'm sure is crap but better than nothing. It took 1.5 quarts to get back to full on the dipstick.

I looked under the car at the store and saw a wet spot about where the oil pan would be. I'm going to take it into the dealership next week. Hopefully, the dealer just didn't tighten the drain plug enough or didn't put on a gasket, and it isn't something serious like they cross thread it or strip it out.

Speaking of WRXs, I miss mine, but was toying with the idea of getting a 2016 or 2017 GTI and throwing a Cobb tune on it. Anyone have any experience with these cars? I had a 2002 Jetta vr6 back in the day and that was fun, but a bit of a lemon. I heard the new VWs are much more reliable and a blast to drive.
