Making a locking gas cap work with a Meso gasshole

A couple weeks ago I purchased a @mesojdm gasshole like many people on this site have. When I purchased it, I wasnt really thinking about the fact that I had a locking gas cap because I figured it wouldn't make a difference.
Turns out I was wrong, the locking one on the left has an extra thread that doesn't allow it to seat far enough into the part

So I got out my trusty dremel and decided to try an make it work
After about five minutes I was able to take the whole bottom thread down to flush with the rest of the cap
And final result is- fits in gasshole perfectly and still has plenty of threads to thread in just fine

What is the consensus on the best locking gas cap for gen3?
