Toyota claims the transmission oil should last the life of the vehicle. Why you got a drain bolt then Toyota ????

You're taking a simple problem with a simple solution (like a dedicated oil change sticky with nice big high res pictures) and comparing it to an extreme. It's quite the stretch, and trying way too hard. And for what? An internet argument? You can't honestly think I'm going to be an advocate for idiot parents and start suing manufacturers.

I’ll add that it’s bad advice based on the fact that it kinda doesn’t apply. A person can “know what they are doing” and get on the wrong plug. The advice should be “pay attention”. But obviously saying pay attention carries connotations of running over children and giant ship disasters. 3rd gen forum. These are all dumpsters filled with dried sticks.

Lol. Maybe the back up cam reference was a bad idea. The moral of the story is these issues are usually always due to some type of distraction or someone not fully paying attention. Rarely is it ever the case of the person just by having a clue as to what the hell they are doing. Again no bashing anyone. We’ve all made mistakes. I’m just making a statement

It’s hard to have a good chuckle when your truck is rusting away to nothing beneath you.

I've got one and like it. Pop the valve, and by the time I'm done getting the filter off, cleaning everything up and putting the new filter on it's done draining.

Not sure how much of a lip there is, but you're never going to get everything out of all the oil passages anyway. Always going to be a little bit of old oil left no matter what you do.
