March 2019 Seattle-Area Meet

Yeah I like adventuring up there, I still haven't gotten the chance to check all of it out. Especially that first left turn out there, seems like you can keep adventuring a ways if you don't care about the pin stripes which and I think most other members don't. I fish quite a bit but mostly just lakes, I have always thought there may be some good opportunities on Beckler River itself but just haven't had the chance to check it out yet.

Just got back from the dealership and they're covering carrier shaft bearing failure on the Tacoma under extended warranty, get a free spider bearing too since they cannot be reused. Didn't get the chance to probe the guys on why it may have failed, it started to go before I added the Icon Coilovers/JBA UCA's, and it was just Billy 5100's before so not too sure there. After that is replaced probably will feel a bit better about going further out than somewhere like Beckler. Never heard it mentioned here on the forums so not sure why that is, lots of older Yota's go out there.

 

March 30th I’ll be at Moses lake sand dunes for an overnighter

 

so my in-laws are coming over in april and my father in law wants to do some trail runs any suggestions on any 4x4 parks ?

 

any plans for this weekend ?

 

Sorry. I think I am booked up, but starting to itch for some wilderness. It's getting to be nice camping weather!

I am definitely up for that.

I know there is a nice BLM campground in the Yakima Canyon. They are free until May sometime, I believe. Otherwise, remote camping works great also.

 

Rain is in the forecast for Saturday. Maybe a brewery meet up?

tried the mountain loop highway today, still closed but snow if pretty much gone off the road

 

would anyone be interested in doing the Walker valley ORV trail? i haven't done it before but it looks interesting

 

I would be interested, I did hear you have to wheel around the gate there though. Not sure if that is still the case, that was a year or so ago now.

 

Done it, and I’m interested once I get this body mount relocation done.

 

I'd be down this weekend. I'll be up in that area fishing anyway. I'm also up for a run in the mountains and camping this weekend.
