After looking and reading far too much flashlight information, I picked a two Fenix lights.

The Fenix TK47 Tactical Duty Flashlight for daily use and the Fenix TK75 (2018) for excursions. They are very nice and use the same type of rechargeable batteries (18650). So all 3 of my lights run on the same style of batteries, I’m in my flashlight happy place : ).

coast HP8R best flashlight I've ever bought... 700 TRUE LUMENS.. built and sold in the USA.. I bought mine for $80 I have a HP7R on my work duty belt... I did mod my HP7R a bit with some skateboard tape on the lense end. focusing and brightness are second to none.. over 1000ft distance on this one.. but can also spread beam to over a 10ft circle at holding height, plus it makes a goo KUBATON

the HP7R is 300 lumens but it has more power, and brightness than the ebay/Amazon 1000 lumen pieces of crap they list for $30-50... the rechargeable via micro-usb li-po battery packs, as well as the covered micro usb charge port on the flashlight are an awesome design feature.. both battery and flashlight have charge indicators.. and it is a simple procedure to change out the batteries.. I highly recommend either of these.. if youre feeling less than the $80-120 pricetag, they do make a HP7, or HP8... they just dont have the rechargeable batteries or plug feature... I have dropped mine on concrete more than a few times, and have used it is a door knocker on steel cell doors. so i KNOW its tough...

Got a three pack of these Duracell 380 from Costco. One in the truck, one with me at work and the other spare for whatever I might need it for.

Cleaned up the flashlight install a bit. Added braided wire loom and reversed direction so plugs were up. Tucked excess wire behind soundproof material at firewall - using a double adapter with fuse.

    Nice Dutch hardware

I like my set up. Very accessable and small enough I can get it in just about anywhere I need to. Even in my mouth sometimes...:anonymous:

The other penlight up there is a blacklight I got for curing windshield repair kit resin when it's dark out. Niche I know, but it's nice to have in the winter when you're going to work when it's dark and getting off when it's dark. Figured I might use it for something else eventually too, but I have no idea what yet.

SOE visor was kind of pricey, around $60-75, but very useful, and I get to keep all my leg room :D.

Edit: oh and that thing across them is my extended antenna for my handheld. I keep it off so my handheld can fit in my glovebox when not in use.

Bigger question is, what brand of batteries are using to power your flashlight?
