You can admit that it's Sanford; we won't judge (too much) :D

    He lives!

@Noelie84 lol. Love it. But legit address is in Springvale. Now Sanford is about a 1 minute ride on a snowy day, but mail comes to Springvale.

I kid. A buddy of mine grew up in Sanford and his Mother still lives in Springvale. We harass her about it anyway.

Of course, he lives in Rochester now, so it's not much of an improvement, but at least he's a ways out of town, barely within the border.

That sucks. I knew you were thinking about it when we had that meet at Famous Dave's a few years ago. Hopefully you can turn a corner soon, then.

Ah the mass vacationer... I live here in wells. Populations 10,000 until you guys hike it up here in June. Then it skyrockets to 120,000. A lot of mass drivers use the turn lane to merge into traffic and it pisses me off. Don’t let me catch you doing that. I’m not letting you in. Had a lady from mass flip me off and then start clapping when I didn’t let her cut in front of me.

On a good note, glad you like Wells. If you’re driving a Tacoma, chances I’ll wave.

I bought my truck from prime. Really good place. John Harmon got me my first Tacoma. Really nice place with good people. Free WiFi and cookies too.

I fish little sebago all year. I live in wells and drive up there regularly. Actually went to moosehead last weekend. Tried to drive out on the ice and got stuck in a snowbank and had to get towed out. Love the Greenville and Rockwood area though.

I live just a few minutes from there. They’re a great small business. Expensive, but they do a good job. Was gonna have them put a light bar on for me, they took me through the whole process on how they do it and do it right. Just too expensive for me, so I did it myself. But, I would highly recommend their business

If the man upstairs has any pity on a old broken down tech that tries to do the right thing
and a woman with a heart of gold that wouldn’t hurt a flea and my best friend that needs a break.
    We will .......

I have a torn up boot on my front axle. What kind of $$$ money am I looking at losing to fix this at a shop? Any rough guesses?

Poor ol Bessie is getting old... I am getting close to that point where I am weighing what is worth fixing vs just trading in. My frame is toast. It barely passed inspection after some good welding. My mechanic said it is very unlikely to pass next year.

can you do it yourself? do you have a garage/level surface and basic hand tools? good for trail practice shouldnt take more than an hour or two of swearing... as long as you soak down the bolts/nuts before going on this adventure...
    0. use big ass breaker bar to loosen axle nut (35mm).
    1. jack up, and support front of truck
    2. take off wheel
    3. remove caliper/caliper bracket, and support/hang out o0f the way
    4. remove swaybar link from control arm/strut.
    5. remove upper control arm ball joint nut
    6. remove the axle shaft nut, and slide/give it a few love taps with a hammer to remove stub shaft from wheel bearing..
    7. give the diff end a few love taps to remove.. oil will drip a bit.. no worries
    8. go in reverse.. install new shaft... DONE!
9 DO NOT remove lower 2 bolts on the lower control arm/knuckle... they are a BITCH TO RE-ALIGN on the truck... as me how I know..

I always remove the lower bolts.
So much faster for me. But if it works for you , you run with it.

You can... I just remember it being a bitch to get the bolts realigned perfectly although this was on a tundra... similar setup though... I didn't have a nice set of alignment punches big enough for the m24? Bolts... I do now.. even on a lift with a postjack it was a pain...
