ordered a ultra gauge for my 1997 Toyota Tacoma 2.4l 2wd x-tra cab DOM=6/1996, upon install unit would never get past scanning mode, consulted with ultra gauge service and determined since my truck does not have emissions OBDII decal under hood or in manual that not all trucks manufactured from 1996 model year on where OBDII compliant.
carefully packed gauge and mount in original shipping box and returned to Ultra gauge, was shocked and pissed that a $95.00 purchase was only refunded $65.00.
buyer BEWARE ultra gauge has proven that they are a unethical, dishonest, company only after our $$$ and takes little responsibility for there products after the sale.

I don't see anything that UG did wrong. It's not buyer beware, it's the buyer's responsibility to research what they are buying. I've had 2 UGs, first one since 2010. I've never had issues with them or the company.

There is a whole section on compatibility.
I read that site for like a week looking for things I wanted.
Not disappointed with each unit I got..

Thanks for everyone's input, yes when a web sites application covers your truck (all vehicles sold in USA with DOM 1996 on) yes I should have sensed that was a inaccuracy:evil: and not hold seller responsible:boom:

You shouldn't be upset that they charged you during the refund if it states clearly that you will be. Relax and move on, there are much worse companies that do much worse things

    Scangauge II on both vehicles.
The only problem I have had with them is the OBD-II connector needing a bit of pressure.
