Tpms problem

I had Sport wheels on my SR5 when I traded it for my Sport. I swapped the wheels because my tires were better. The TPMS did not register (of course). I went to Discount Tire and they had no clue what to do. They started talking about breaking down the tires to get the sensor id's.

I went to PepBoys and they scanned the sensors for id's and programmed the TPMS. Took about 10 minutes for them to do it. Took another 20-30 minutes before they registered, but it worked. Charged me $15.99.

 

I don't think I've ever had a PepBoys around here but Discount Tire has been really good here. I got the set of 4 (Methods/Wildpeaks) during a 20% off sale & months later I bought a 5th for a full size spare & they honored the 20% off for that one also! I didn't have to say anything. I did a cash & carry on the spare wheel so I'd have it on hand when it came time to rotate it in the mix. The TPMS was a small hiccup but they got it registered & since I didn't have them put it on the truck that day it was really on me.

Firestone stores in my area tho... they will never get another penny from me for many reasons!
