Yeah I've been looking at those, just really hesitant to order seems like the bronze looks good in the pictures but when they arrive they look good more than bronze.

    Moving for BS

Mine is old enough to have leaf springs so 35s will rub at full lock even if they fit with no lift :angrygirl:

The new ones are really, really nice trucks inside and out. Crazy how much they go for though.

wow he has gotten so big! Still a handsome boy :D

Does he live here in CO?

I contemplated an Ecoboost effwonfiddy or a gas F250 but towing over the Rockies was enough to make springing for the diesel worth it

I swear rescue dogs are that next level of loving and affectionate even if they do have all the random quirks. I'm glad he's found a good place with y'all

Just a quick learning moment...stop while you're ahead.

So the other day, i was going up the Shafer Switchbacks in Moab. Right after the last one (top) the trail was nasty muddy and slick as hell. One vehicle wide, drop off to your death to the right/outside and the left/inside had a good 2ft rut before the cliff wall.

I had it in 2wd and rear started to walk towards the inside edge.. Trail was dry up to that point. Put it in 4wd and I stopped giving it any gas because i was going forward but rear was still stuck in someone else's tracks who had put their rig all the way in.

Tried to reverse but it was still wanting to go in. I stopped, and it was a simple recovery. If you find yourself starting to get stuck, STOP while you're ahead and recover from there...or at least take a second to assess the situation. Getting out will be a shit ton easier from there than spinning tires trying to free yourself without looking and ending up in deep shit. Most of the recoveries i did with Colorado 4x4 R&R would've been maxtrax self recoveries if the driver hadn't just "gassed it" hoping for a miracle.

We tried to winch the rear sideways as much as possible since he was right behind me but it wasn't enough on the narrow trail and my fat ass truck was sliding him.

To get out, we threw a maxtrax under each rear tire and I drove out nice and easy. If i put it all the way in, it likely would've been a hell of a time getting out without damage.

No pics of the incident unfortunately... But here's one of the switchbacks.
    IMG_20190326_115232_626.jpg

And the crocs performed well during the recovery.

Yeah, it really is crazy how much those trucks are worth but it should last him a long while. A 4 door platinum was like 100K with dealer mark up. Crazy fawks.

Your dad sounds super down to earth and in touch with what he wants. They definitely prey on people who get emotionally invested and get sucked into over paying

I was trying to negotiate on a used F250 and the sales manager came over and told me they were gonna get me out of my "bitch car" (Yaris DD) and into a "man's truck". He then stood in front of me and told the salesman to tell me to remind me that he's "trying to make this man a fucking deal" when I was trying to negotiate their "best no BS what you see is what you pay pricing". He then insulted me for saying I wanted a manual instead of an automatic....

    I didn't buy there
