I thought I would start my own build thread as it seems to be the thing to do here...besides spend ridiculous amounts of money...

So I purchased my baby in September 2018. I promised my daughter she could pick the color, but she wasn't with me when I bought it, so I let her name it. She named it Phoenix. I liked the name (thankfully)and have GRAND ideas, but little time and money, so this will take a while. I will add to this thread as ideas and projects hit me.

So, Phoenix is a 2018 TRD Off-Road SBDC. A beautiful Inferno Red (or as I have seen some call it..."Satin Paprika". She has 22 miles on the odometer when I drove it off the lot. I used TruePrice and got a deal of $34K on the truck and out the door with gap insurance, lifetime engine and transmission warranty, lifetime oil changes and 2 years Toyota care for a little over $36k.

So my official first mod that required disassembly was my Meso Ultimate turn Signals. I have been fiending for these for months! Really easy install and I thought I would get my documenting process down.

So, @mesojdm does a really great job in packaging. Very well padded inside a durable box.
    20190418_181055.jpg 20190418_181128.jpg

This is the before...never dug the chrome look.
    20190418_181152.jpg

Really easy to pop off the skull cap. I found it easier to push the mirror forward and apply pressure to the outer portion of the cap...popped right off. Remove the two screws...
    20190418_181219.jpg

Once the screws are out, apply some pressure to the lower plastic of the mirror assembly to free it. Remove the connecting wire and pinch the retaining clip to remove the stock signal.

    20190418_181435.jpg

Once free, attach the Meso Miracle Device, that name is patent pending by the way, and reattach in reverse order

    20190418_181954.jpg

    Looks MUCH BETTER!

You can't tell from the picture, but that tailgate is CHOCK FULL of @KTJO 4x4 's Pop-n-Lock goodness! Forgive the lawn food on the bumper...it was either wash her this weekend, or catch up on some mod installs...guess what won out?

Now I am not 100% happy with this...The thread was not as "orange" as I would like to have seen, and the return marker at the top is more tan than orange. That, combined with my own mistakes due to rushing in the heat, means I will have to get another one and redo it. :frusty:

So...I was not happy with the steering wheel cover. I re-did it...bought a new one...did that one twice...but I could never get it right. I even took the steering wheel off and tried that. So, instead of leaving something on that I was not happy with, I just took it off. @KTJO 4x4 , you must have more patience than me...and smaller hands. LOL...

Yes, it fact it comes in MANY colors. Totally customizable. I LOVED it, but was never 100% happy with my install job. Maybe I will try again. Not sure. The cost is such that I don't mind trying again.
