Right, and that doesnt take into account that you added that weight hanging off the rear end of the truck...

I skimmed this part and thought you were referring to the new HC bumper, not the stock one. Carry on :spy:

    **UPDATE**
Threw an extra long leaf in my OME pack, and my truck is back to how it drove stock (ish) on concrete highways.

Any luck on getting your bounce minimized?

Taking this to PMs kind of defeats the purpose of this thread. Ask him for more details so others can benefit from the changes he made.

I was having a similar issue after removing my GFC, which left most of the weight in the rear of my truck over the rear axle out far enough that it caused a bit of the bounce the OP posted about. I tuned most of that out with the ADS compression/"rebound" adjusters, but there was still a bit of persistent bounce at speed on the highway. I attributed it to a lack of frame support in the rear where the stock hangers mount. So, I fixed it by installing Archive's hangers and support bar upgrade. Drives like a dream now, in the rear anyways. Still dealing with a severe lack of down travel in the front, which is odd, but may be do to the 700# springs I'm running.

Anyways, here's a ton of of pics to help others out that may be on the fence. Also, yes, my exhaust does need to be chopped :D

Man, I am glad I finally found a thread on this. I am running Stage 3 Deavers in the rear, along w/ Rigd Spare Tire Carrier (34" tire on it at about 85#) and I am having the same serious bounce on the myriad of concrete seamed highways around us.

It was slightly there with just my Leer shell on after the lift, but once I added the spare back there & dropped my Alu-Cab camper on, its horrible around 55 mph. Now, granted, I will be adding way more weight over those Deavers as the year goes on building out the camper interior, but I am super glad to read these heavy duty hangers & shackles are fixing this issue. I had ordered a set from Archive in November, but they were too long lead to do when I did the lift, so I haven't got them yet. Glad to hear this may be the answer to my Bucking Taco.

In terms of making shock compression adjustments to help alleviate things, I have do separate low & high speed compression adjustment with my Elkas. If I understand you correctly, I would need to stiffen the HSC in the rear to help with this issue correct? I was going to toy with that some until the Hammer Hangers/Shackles arrive to see if gets somewhat better.

Have the same issue with my 1st Gen. Always on the concrete sections of the freeway between ~55-65 mph. Went from OME nitro-chargers to Billy 5160's and All-Pro's. Still have the bounce. Only way to fix it is to get rid of the tire carrier and cans on the back!
