Unfortunately an older woman distracted by her dog was not paying attention in busy traffic and rear ended my new truck. Luckily the damage to the Tacoma is minimal given the circumstance. Now the wait for the insurance dust to settle.

    Just hit 2k miles :(

Unfortunately, I haven't installed it yet, so it's sitting in my garage while I do some traveling.

That said, I found a few shots from around the forum that may help a little -- none directly from the side, though.

they're all correct about a new plate bumper but I'm surprised how well that plastic one did.

I had about the same damage on the outside, until I took it apart!

Could you help the other guy out and post a picture of the Fab Four rear bumper taken from the side of your truck?

I was thinking about this, but something about the tailgate having a scratch and a dig in it also bugs the hell out of me. Not sure what I am going to do just yet, but I have been thinking about getting a nice new plate bumper.

The tailgate scratch/dent would definitely bother me, as well. No doubt.

They'll give you enough money to have the tailgate repaired/repainted AND buy the aftermarket bumper, though, so you should still come out way ahead.

I just hope the other driver had insurance.

I got clipped by a Rockstar delivery truck a whole five days after I bought my truck. This little whoopsie cost them almost $2k to repair.
