Little bit of this and a little bit of that but stock af.
Ordered and Picked up a brand new set of rims. What is the consensus on ceramic coating rims? Is it worth it? How hard is it to apply yourself and what brands do most recommend?

Had mine done when I had my truck ceramic coated last year !!

The advantages of it is dirt and brake dust doesn't stain the wheels and the wheels stay looking new

I had Carpro Cquartz applied to both the paint and to the wheels

This is my wheels a couple months ago !!!

Same here, my stockies were ceramic coated when my truck was coated. However was wondering if it’s a easy job to do before I put some wheels on.

I ceramic coated the stocks when the truck was new so I don’t have before and after experience.

Ceramic coating is not hard to apply, it's the prep work of getting down to a clean surface that is the work. So with new wheels it would be even easier all you'll have to do is hit it with some alcohol solution or "paint prep" type product.

Coatings (wheels, paint, whatever surface) are applied by a small amount on a suede cloth, wait for it to flash, buff that section off move on to the next section... Depending on the brand they will have the time for how long it will take to flash. This just gives you an idea of how much product to apply before moving to another section. For a wheel you could be good to do the whole wheel before buffing off.

When buffing off you want to pay attention to places you may have applied too heavy (high spots). Good lighting or the sun will help see these high spots. Some coatings will tell you just to add a little more product to make the dried high spot workable again.

Brands: Pinnacle Black Label, IGL Wheel (this one comes with a sample sized prep spray)

I'm sure there are a dozen other brands for $60-80 that will have similar results.
