Dunno. Everywhere east of Des Moines is fine. The rivers are high but I wouldn’t really say it’s anything out of the ordinary for spring.

Somewhere central (within hour or so of Des Moines) is probably best. Lake red rock is decent. Moffit lake. Saylorville.

There’s a bunch of state parks too but I’ve only been to a couple over there.

    That's cheap!

Only 3 hours from here. Hmmm. Too bad I don't have any vacation. I'd hate to drive 3 hours just for a weekend trip. I really need a week long adventure... Dang weddings taking up all my time.

I do have a custom battery hold down and not a bungee cord lol

Roll bars are for open air vehicles. CB. Meh. That’s an easy fix. And I’ll bring you a fire extinguisher!

I don’t have a CB either though lol

    Other members only pricing
Members can wheel any time for $15.00 a day per rig. The land owner (Dan) must be called to OK the day. (this is a minimum of 3 rigs)

I'm from Michigan and first time Tacoma owner / off-roader / overlander and would love to meet you guys and learn more from everyone here. Don't mind the driving to Iowa for a weekend getaway. What would I need to bring and be equiped with?

Paint is super expensive, especially done right

I had to get my truck fixed (long story) and I had quotes that varied from $2500 to $7000. It was easy to tell which ones weren’t cutting corners and did it the right way.

my estimate was around 12k and did not include engine compartment or under cab, I need my box painted to properly fix a couple of rock chip spots by gas tank opening (or I might've smacked it once long time ago with the gas pump nozzle) and some bedliner rubs, I keep using touchup paint but it always flakes off
too many black trucks on the road inspired this wanton need

alright, today I got $275 of new fluids in the gearboxes and tranny, ready to go lol
also got a new catback exhaust million mile borla, the mechanic definitely earned his pay taking off my oem, it was quite weathered!
does this place have any light mud trails? (nothing too deep) wanted to test out my new rubber before I get detail job
