If I drive nice I’d get a lot better. Been hard on the throttle since 1.05. Lol. Could get around 15-16. Highway down here though I got 19.5. 1 tank.

Yes until you own one and realize they are crap quality and unreliable. Everything has pro and cons but mpg is one of the main reasons I moved to Toyota platform but now I see it’s a wash 3D77832D-7FEB-4017-B440-E7BE097F515C.jpg

I actually didn’t think I’d be into off roading as much as I am which is why I bought a taco. Of course once you conquer a trail you want to do something harder and harder and then realize you need a Jeep lol.

Maybe you need bigger tires? Your tires are heavy for what they are but not tall. You can get Dick Cepek extreme country in a 35” in 315/75/16, I believe they weigh the same as your current tire but it’ll lower your RPMs. That’s if you wanna deal with fitting 35s.

Well the savings will be so marginal to none by the time you get them fitted and also cost of the new tires :) but I know what you mean as far as off road goes. I did level 7 out of 10 in Moab and it’s scared the shits out of me enough to where I can now say I did it and will stick to overlandinf. Maybe get into a mild LT set up to make things fun

Doing a manual hub conversion when I put the 5.29s in so I’ll have free floating axles. I’ll let you guys know if it had any noticeable differences when driving.

All good. Let me know if you are at all interested. I'm sure I'm headed west for a spring trip in the near future so I can keep you in the loop if you'd like.

Lol we are opposites. Just got back from Moab and thought the trails were a breeze. I got home thinking about what I can cut to make 8 and 9/10 trails.

17 dclb OR. Long evening doing gear break in heat cycles. 70 miles after install and my first impression is great. Running 295/70r17 (33.2) I'm averaging 20.1 mpg at 55 mph and turning 1600rpm in 5th. Lots of power down low, hold and increase speed on hills now possible without the back and forth down/up shifts. Will provide more feedback after break-in is complete.
