The silk-screening can probably be melted, but I'd imagine anything that melts that will also harm the cover. Maybe just some black vinyl dye is the best course of action. Why do you want to cover it?

Black vinyl dye may be a good option, ill have to look into that. I really don't want to support CVT in any way shape or form, this awning ended up being free because they screwed up so many times but I still don't want the there logo on it haha

Well CVT orders most of their product as generic stock from China, this is why most products from Tepui, Smittybuilt, and CVT look the same, so you might be able to get an unbranded cover too.

I'm curious- just because I want to dye the color of the orange trim on this tent so wondering if any methods may help me.

Follow up- watching videos on Rustoleum Fabric and Vinyl paint-- may work great for you. Can just paint your whole cover. May be able to use for my purpose but would just have to tape well. What color to paint it?

I would prefer it to stay black (I am getting a GFC in a few weeks and its black) so essentially just cover it up and try and blend it in

No so much, I drove over 300 miles to pick it up and found concealed damaged on the track system so the bolts wouldn't go in. Pretty much had zero contact or response from them as a company for over 2 weeks after sending 4 emails and leaving 3 voicemails. Only way I was able to get a response back was to dispute the charge on my card and say something on social media about the lack of customer service. They have not fought the claim either but they also still haven't done anything to resolve the situation.

So I got there after driving about 3 1/2 hours at about 4:30 PM, half hour before they close. I rented an Airbnb close by so I just took off and without opening the box. Opened once I got settled in about 5:30 (after they close) so I shot an email with pictures to there customer service email address stating what happened, order number, etc. Gave them a call the following day and left a voicemail. No response at all the following day and they were closed the next day. So I took the awning back home and then sent a few more emails and called a couple more times over the next 10-14 days without any response before filing the claim.

No at that point I had filed the claim the already disputing the charge, they chose not to fight it and have since never reach out to pickup the awning. I picked this up on black Friday so going on four months now. Still zero contact from them and the claim has been closed by my bank so its just been sitting in my garage collecting dust.

When I was into VW buses one of the guys I knew painted spare tire covers with acrylic paints then sprayed a clear coat over them for protection and UV resistance. I'd bet one of the plastic paints, ex. Krylon Fusion, or one of the vinyl dyes that you buy for automotive interiors would work and would be the first thing I tried.

RIT makes a dye for synthetics but it requires you to hold the water/dye temp at 200F for ten minutes to an hour which would likely mess up any backing/water treatment. KaptainH, remember you can only go darker with dyes and I'm not sure how you'd keep it from bleeding into the other fabric. Paint pen maybe?

I'm not very big on branding so I would also want to remove the CVT brand. I have a softopper that I want to remove the softopper patch that they have sewed into the vinyl. Im hesitant to do so because I'm sure undoing the stitching will show all the holes from the stitching.

If you've had the top for a while the area under the patch is going to be slightly darker as well (UV fading of the surrounding material).
