So I'm thinking about getting a 2006 Tacoma Prerunner. Anything I should know? Please fell free to share anything about this vehicle. I'm all ears.

Nothing wrong with a prerunner. I prefer 4x4 on all my trucks. My think about what your long term plan is with the truck.

Welcome to TacomaWorld! Make sure and check the frame before you buy any older 2nd gen. The are notorious for frame rust.

You don't buy a truck for its fucking fenders!
    2.5" lift w/35's
If you plan on going offroading, you're gonna wish you had 4x4, otherwise probably will be a great truck

    I have a 2006 trd offroad prerunner.
I spend most my time in Kalifornia so no need for 4wd for me.
You may want to weigh the pros and cons of 2wd vs 4wd

I have about 106K miles on it and not a single issue...........no rust, no head gasket issues (even with a blower), no motor mount issues either.

x2. I started off in a prerunner. It was a great truck but I eventually sold it for a 4WD version. OP, unless you’re certain you won’t use 4WD, go for it.

I live in VA so I don't think i will need 4wd too much around here. But the one that I am looking at has had 1 owner and it has about 122,000 miles on it, he has done a lot to it himself, and it is a 2wd.

FYI, all factory prerunners are 2wd

you say "I don't think i will need 4wd too much around here."
That leaves me thinking maybe you SHOULD get a 4wd for those other times honestly

I honstely stay away from any modified vehicle. Unless the person has warranties that go with them. Cause you never know who did the work or if they did everything right.
