I just got a simple single row LED lightbar off Amazon that a friend has. Should work fine for now. I plan on tint wrapping it yellow to match all my other lights. I wrapped the fog lights yellow and this orange yellow theme has kind of taken off. It's weird but I like it. I also rendered the v5 rack in brass monkey bronze since I have dipped my grille and my rims brass monkey. It's shaping up well.. let me know what you think so far, don't hold back!

This is the light bar I ordered: https://www.amazon.com/Nilight-31inch-14500LM-Driving-Warranty/dp/B019XT82MQ/ref=sr_1_21?crid=1DLOJA1HKJ8BQ&keywords=nilight+led+light+bar&qid=1553832194&s=gateway&sprefix=nilight%2Caps%2C132&sr=8-21

Nothing too crazy to start. This is my first truck so all the gear is new to me. I may upgrade later on. (Baja Designs lookin real sexy).

Anyways, I installed the wiring harness in the meantime. I am awaiting two quotes at the moment, then I will pull the trigger one either laser cutting the parts or water jetting.

Great CAD. SW for rendering too?
Color matched looks pretty tight. One of the main motivations on making my own was the front fairing. They all look like a receding hair line to me, so I was on a mission to make it flush with the curvature of the windshield.

Love where this is going. Great work so far. The coloured ones are a great idea.

Also, as an older guy, born before the netz took over, it’s just nice to see people using a computer to do something creative and for themselves, rather than geeking out on video games.

.....and if you add up the time in R&D you'll end up with a badassed $800 rack, and a super cool project!

Yeah that is one thing that I am still a little off with. I plan to wrap the exposed Inferno there with some 3M 1080 vinyl.. make it look a little more seamless. I took a look at yours and you definitely have it right on the money!

Yeah unfortunately I didn't track all the working hours, but I'd probably be past the $800 point in R&D time  Still, its super fun to work on and I'm waiting the outcome biting my nails

I used to be an avid gamer :anonymous: but then I got married and now I have a 7 month old daughter and #2 coming in October!! bye bye video games. My long term plan is to turn the Taco into a camper-mobile. I want to buy a box trailer and convert it into a camper and tow with the truck. :fingerscrossed:

Great stuff so far man, can't wait to see the finished product. Guess I need to get back into CAD.......which would require getting some software.
