i have a 2016 OR double cab with 37,000 miles that has been leaking a lot of water into the cab. Dealership thought it was the third breaklight issue and replaced that, along with carpet and padding. However, the next week it was still leaking. Closer inspection revealed a compromised body seam requiring a body shop to fix. Anyone ever heard of this? I know the third brake light is a known issue but haven’t heard much in the way of issues with welds an body panels.

Doesn't surprise me. Looked under my new truck last week and there is TONS of goop applied poorly to the underside/underbody of this truck. Looks like a blind person did the job.

It's like that from every manufacturer.

Definitely not accurate. I'm in the biz and have crawled under literally thousands of cars of all makes and models.

Irony is that I got rid of an old Land Rover with a leaky roof and bought the Tacoma to get something more “reliable”.

Haven’t personally seen it yet but sounds like somewhere on the rear of the cab. Heading to dealership tomorrow to see it myself.
