i remember when i was looking for a tacoma. i went to one dealer and they had a left over 2017, 4cyl, 4x4, 5speed, access cab. They had a "market price" mark up for 2k...i laughed at them and they were trying to sell me the truck obviously. i think they were asking 27k on the sticker. they talked themselves down to 22k for the truck. i still said no lol. Bought my Offroad from another dealer with no bullshit. first offer he took off 8% then i got them down to 11%. Worked out. sorry for the rant lol

$6k worth of wheels and tires? $1k for a grill? Who even remotely thought that sounded plausible?

Only a fool would buy that! You could buy a stock SR5 4X4 and have a way better setup than that for a fraction of that!

Installed my new wheels yesterday, and I really like how it looks.

 

Nice! I went with a GTS kit, red struts/shocks, black coils. Wasn't a huge fan of the Turquoise on my BBP Taco.

 

Just a curiosity. I see and understand the rear diff breather mod. Does the front diff ( obviously 4wd models ) have a breather also? And if so, wouldn’t you want to do the same mod to it as the rear? Again. Idle curiosity.

 

The front does have one, but it is up in the engine bay already. The one on the rear axle is a popular mod because of how low it is from the factory.

Is there a breather for the two wheel drive differential?

 

I can't verify but I don't see why it wouldn't be exactly as it is on the rear axle of a 4x4. Take a look at the rear, just left of the pumpkin when facing the axle from behind; it'll be on top.

 

Ugh, reading all these posts, Makes me want to go buy a welder, but at the same time, I refuse to own one. Such a conflicting battle.
