    Hello all:

I've been scouring the forums for awhile and decided I would join and say hello.

I sold my beloved 6 speed Cummins a few years ago and bought a 2014 Silverado. I have hated it every day that I have had it.

I have been trying to buy a Quick Sand TRD Sport or Off Road with a 6 speed in it. I have found two from a dealer but both will be delivered only after I buy it (they have to have it shipped in from somewhere and won't put a MT on their lot because they have trouble selling them).

I drove an automatic last night and I just wasn't sold on it. I can't find any used or new MT ones for sale within two hours from me to try out.

I want to buy from my local dealer for service and warranty support (I would feel funny after them helping me look for one and buying it somewhere else; there is no way I would ask them to do work for me).

Hoping to get some good news early next week.

    GD

    Welcome Pat.
Check out the regional threads close to you and start chatting up with some folks that have gen 3 with an MT. Good chance you can go for a test ride with a member on this forum. Super nice folks all around.
    Good luck with your search.

Welcome.... you can buy it anywhere and use the local to you dealers for service a d warranty. No where does it say you have to buy from a particular dealer to use their service/warranty. Plus it does not really gain you any favors by doing so. You might get somewhat faster service, but in no means will they turn you away.

The dealer came through and has one in for service. He offered the owner a wash/detail in exchange for a test drive. I'm looking forward to trying it out this afternoon. The only down side is the $1k factory rebate ended yesterday.

    Thanks,

    Pat

Got to drive the manual transmission in a 2019 Off Road yesterday. It took a few minutes to get used to but I really liked it; much better then the automatic that I drove the other day. I looked at pictures, spread sheets, read reviews and stayed up half the night trying to make a decision. My local dealer found a Sport and Off Road both in the color and the manual trans: I ordered the Sport this morning. Hope to have it by Friday!

    Thanks for the welcomes,

    Pat

Took about a week for the dealer to find her and get her on the lot. Very happy!
