 Checking them out now. I have a couple kits from Elite First Aid Inc but they don't sell directly to civilians and it's a pain looking through their vendors list to replace supplies.

Im first aid/cpr cert. but its basic shit im going back to my scouts and HS first aid training. Id love to take some classes or get cert. to train at work.

I reading came down to CATs being the best. But they get knocked off alot so you have to buy from a reputable source. NAR is one of those sources.

Just got the scope in the mail today. Turns out the rings I got for it are too low (got the Vortex medium height .97) and while it would probably work if I didn't C grip or use the 45 degree offset irons, I do both of those things and so I need taller rings. So the 1.18 and 1.46 are on the way and I'll figure out which one I like better and send the others back.

I had read that the reticle was too small at 1x to be usable... I don't know how blind that person was, but it's fine to me. I will say that the subtensions (I got the MRAD reticle, not the horseshoe ones) are indistinguishable at 1x (maybe that defeats the point of FFP) and at 4x they only go about 1/4 of the radius. The literature would suggest that the subtensions go from edge to edge, but it's just in the middle, maybe 10 subtensions in any direction from the center.

The battery cover was a major PITA to get back on, constantly cross-threading for some reason. And my windage adjustment will. not. move. I need to call them in the morning and ask if the screw looking thing under the cap can be safely loosened or not as I think it may have been torqued down too hard from the factory.

Otherwise it seems pretty sweet. The illumination adjustment has no stopping point so you can adjust it in either direction indefinitely which is kind of nice. It does come with the rubber band style lens caps so I ordered some flip caps.

Range day is Saturday so if this windage thing doesn't require it to be sent in then I'll have a report on actually using it.

Added a few things to the suppressed rattler: Magpul afg2, magpul cantilever pic rail( to get tlr1 far enough out to not throw a shadow from the can), tlr1 remote door switch assembly and remote pressure pad. I think I might call this one done. Everything I need in a firearm for house duty. 931B6C03-1705-46E5-9404-9A67CCB4C5B5.jpgFF7D371F-06A9-4172-8944-B3762C01242D.jpg 2D7CF67A-E575-4A59-BEA4-48B0307015CA.jpg01E9751B-2D13-45E0-8BDE-997D41DA7D7A.jpg

I think the idea at 1x is that it functions more or less like a red dot. That sucks that you’re having those issues with a brand new optic, it’s frustrating. I got a trijicon accupower 1-8x28 with a mrad reticle and after about 200 rnds, the reticle started rotating counter clockwise inside the tube. You wouldn’t think that you would have problems like that right off the bat but it happens. They sent me a brand new one immediately and I’m very happy with it. My experience with sig has been the same. They are quick to solve any type of problem I’ve ever had (which are few and far between). Very minor problem w/ a 3piece muzzle brake/ suppressor mount. Here is the accupower in a geissele 1 piece mount on my mcx virtusF9CDD119-ED16-49E6-A969-5C48368338BF.jpg 45A5BD01-85E4-404F-BC65-34FCEF488106.jpg

Got through to Sig customer support. Apparently the windage adjustment has to be pulled outward about 1/8" before it'll rotate and is very stiff out of the box. I thought I tried that, but maybe not hard enough. A few more hours until I get home to try again. The elevation adjustment doesn't do that though so I didn't think the windage did either, but TIL.

I'm hoping the P10S opens the door for that, with the new factory here in the US they could totally start making subcompacts for the market rather than dealing with import fuckery.

Got the scope out to the range and the illumination completely failed. It didn't turn on via MOTAC or when I adjusted the dial (off and on again, basically). Illumination worked fine when I got home again, kind of. MOTAC seems to be very stubborn. If I lean the rifle against the wall and let it turn off due to inactivity, then pick it up, look straight up at the ceiling, back down level again, pull and release the charging handle, even shake it a little, then nothing. If I shake it like I'm butt-stroking someone in the face or turn the rifle sideways like a gangster then it'll turn on, but that's not what I'm looking for in MOTAC. The scope is going back and I'm going back to a red dot and going to try out the 3x magnifier.

Damn! I’ve tested the motac on all of my red dots by setting the rifle on a table so I can see the dot turn off and lightly touch the table and they fire right up. Who did you order it through? Just like what I feel happened with my trijicon accupower, optics get sent back to the vendor for whatever reason, and if they half-ass check it out and deem it “ok”, they might send it right back out on the next order. I went right to trijicon and had a new scope at my house inside of a week and I’m extremely happy with it. I’d go straight to sig. Maybe show some interest in one of their red dot/magnifier combos and they might just eat the cost difference (within reason, of course) to make you happy. Check out their Romeo 4t red dot. It’s bomb proof like an aimpoint, 4 reticle choices on board, solar, kill flash and real sturdy mount
