What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Very first mod since I brought her home. That's a 2hp gain per letter, right? I also debadged the v6. I think I need to go over it with a clay bar, but for the most part it came off fairly clean.

 

Had 20% ceramic tint installed on the front and the rears still have the factory tint. It matches up really well.

 

Installed RekGen flaps today. Very easy. I like the look of flaps on Tacomas, but know I will need to remove them when I go wheeling.

 

I finally applied my hood decal, and fucked it up. I detailed the truck and got some trail rub scratches out of the bed, and I finished and installed a rack I had been making over the past few weeks.

 

Ok, so everyone else on here gets it except you, yet I’m the uneducated one. Riiiiiiiiight. Whatever helps you sleep at night, Einstein. Here’s another one that’ll probably zing right over your head again: Since you’re obviously hyper-intelligent and also the CEO of the largest mall on the east coast, don’t forget to have your mechanic install a plate bumper and 12k lb. winch just incase one of the drains is clogged and you encounter a puddle in the parking lot.

Did a couple MODS today, first was the radio knob upgrade provided by @OneMoreToyota


Then was the next Meso Customization, map lights (+2hp) @mesojdm



And finally, and most of the mod time, tailgate lock mod, thanks @KTJO 4x4 !



Also reinstalled my bed stiffeners over my bedrug, works a ton better!

 

got a sweet deal on a mint A.R.E. overland series topper ... been searching for one for almost 2 years lol .. ordered 4V6 paint to color match the grey to my truck like it should be

thanks! it randomly popped up on my Facebook in marketplace lmao, i took that as a sign that i should jump on it especially being the exact topper that I have wanted ... drove 7 hours one way to get it, paid $1000 for it, worth it to me for sure

 

if this happens take some goo gone or a similar product to it. Then clay it and if you know how, polish.

Got some seat covers at Costco; nothing fancy, but already have a pair in the Corolla and they’re holding up very well. Only $25 but they serve their purpose. The creases from being boxed will work themselves out.

 

Dang Color matched rock sliders dont look as bad as I would've guessed. Good gamble

 

Tires mounted and installed, then immediately removed cause I gotta trim the flares a bit and have a CMC done.
