Im no electrician so you’ll want to verify but I’m pretty sure the last gfci outlet in a run should be connected on the “line” side not the “load” side
@Slashaar i just confirmed with a master electrician that if u only have one set of hot wires plugged into a gfci they should be on the line side

 

Nice work. What model/brand is the vanity? I'm trying to get the ball rolling on a bathroom project with an existing pedestal sink. Hate the pedestal sink but also every other small vanity I've seen.

 

Just to clarify. I should move the Black (hot wire) to the area marked line, retaining the side its on, and also move the white (not hot) to the line? Currently, its wired upside down, and both wires are across the load line. Could it be possible they are wired backwards and on the wrong line do to the outlet itself being upside down? This seems to be the last GFCI in the run since all the others function. Thanks.



EDIT: seems they are on the correct sides and just needs moved to the line directly down. Thanks for your help.

 

Have you checked to see if you have a gfci outlet in your garage that might be tripped. Sometimes they will put one in there and you might not even realize you have one in there.

 

We’re on our second place with metal roofs. Both I call poor mans metal roof. Screwdown. Piece of mind is nice. Just was told to replace screws in 25 years or so.

 

I had a closer look at a neighbors, thats what he had. Probably will go that style. I live in the desert and it only rains 6 times a year anyway.

Doesn’t matter to the wiring which way is up on the outlet face, so long as the black wire is attached to the brass screw, white to the silver screw and ground to the green screw. In this case on the terminals designated “line”

And to reiterate: free advice on the internet can be worth what you pay for it so be careful and maybe read over some basic literature on residential electricity.

I figured it out. Was wired wrong. Moved the wires as @truchador said to the line instead of load and viola. Power. My 3 prong tester reads good as well.

 

We had to install a cell signal booster, metal roofing eats cell signal. We vent our Pellet Stove through the wall.

And well worth every penny

I’ve had to rip carpet out of section 8 places (hud tenants) where they had dogs...you’d think the lazy fuckers would let their dogs outside to piss every now and then. Plenty of time to take the pitts for a walk when you don’t have to work lol. The piles of crystallized piss on the carpet padding, you’re right

has anyone installed a cable rail system on a deck
During the summer i do side work with a friend
Just looked at a deck job and the guy wants a cable rail system
I have never done one before and google search show a bunch of systems not sure which is good/reliable
Its going to be a composite deck with composite sleeves over wood posts
