Tint shop definitely messed up factory tint match...

So I went into the local tint shop to just have them do my 2 front windows to mach my factory smoked rear widows. First they had to redo the passenger side because i noticed a big scratch. Well at this point I was done waiting so I didn’t doube check the work and I went home. The next day I realized they also scratched the driver side! And on top of all this they put %18.... WTF? Why would they not do less? How is that a match in their eyes? I’m absolutely gonna have them replace the side with the scratch. Should I tell them to actually try and match both sides while they are at it?

 

Take lighting into account.... Where is the sun?
Is there a windshield shade in place?

I swear my film lightened a little over time

Also wanna say rear was 20-22%
18 seems close in the number game

 

Well I’m reading that the rear is %25. Lighting is the same for both windows, front has a sun shade up and rear has a camper shell blocking the sun.

 

Have them take it off. Get a refund and go to a different shop. Scratching both windows? 0/2 success rate. Not very promising. Most people will get in the 30% range to match fronts.

I had my 2 front windows tinted with 35% film (max legal here) and it is just a little lighter than the rear.

 

I'd have them throw some 18 on the backs and call it a day. The back looks really light compared to mine. They putting less tint on the 3rd gens?

I did 20% to match my rears.
