Hi - Our new puppy chewed the back seat - middle seat belt of our 2016 Tacoma -and I'm curious how to replace it. He chewed the middle so all that is left whats inside the back bench.

Any suggestions on how I might be able to go about fixing this?

    Thanks!

    Brian

Remove the seatback from the truck by removing the 2 14mm bolts. Back panel of the seat has a few bolts (I believe) and internal clips. Inside you'll find the inertia reel containing the seat belt.

I'd think a replacement will be costly.

Never, ever buy restraint system parts (e.g. belts or airbags) from a salvage yard. You have no idea as to the condition of the parts, have no path to liability in the event of failure, and are putting someone at risk in the event of an accident.

Or save the replacement until you resell if no one uses it except for the dog
