Looking for advice on the following tire choice and size change please.

    Current set up: BFG T/A KO2 - LT275/70R18E - 33.2" - 15/32 - 55.2 lbs

    Option 1: Toyo Open Country ATII AW - P275/65R18 - 32.1" - 13/32 - 51 lbs

    Option 2: Toyo Open Country ATII AW - LT275/70R18E - 33.2" - 16/32 - 53 lbs

Truck runs 90% hwy. Im looking to improve the ride quality and lower road noise.

Truck is lifted and speedo non calibrated.

My question: would the 1 inch reduction in overall tire diameter on option 1 have any impact I may not have considered?

    Appreciate any feedback, thx Garr

Then Michelin Defenders would meet those goals the best.

Well, don't know what you have considered. But it will change the effective gear ratio closer to stock. That, combined with a lighter tire, will improve several things.

    You're welcome.

I'm almost due to replace my 265/70/17 KO2's. Going to go with Bridgestone Dueler Revo 3's in 265/65/17. 40 lbs each.

Good reviews, and I'm also 90+ percent highway.

You are not going to notice anything different, than what you have now as in ride quality. They are all E rated tires. You may gain a mile per gallon, with option 1, and speedo will be a little closer to stock.

If you want to improve ride quality, go to 16s. Having stiff and shorter sidewalls makes for a harsher ride.

Another reason I'm going with the Bridgestone. I don't need the E's.

Thanks for the feedback and suggestions.

Never considered the Revo's but they look like a nice option to go have a look at. Cheers Garry
