I bought a house in Corpus Christi, TX alongside the Nueces River. The realtor didn't tell me the river was infested by Water Moccasins. We soon found out. If you've ever seen the mini-series Lonesome Dove, where the Irish kid gets killed by dozens of snakes. That was the Nueces. It really is that bad. Alligators too. We didn't stay in that house long.
